Le Corbusier, known for his dedication to designing for better living in high population communities, is regarded as a pioneer of modern architecture. His Pavilion Suisse is located at the Cité Internationale Universitaire, in Paris. and was built to house their students.

The Swiss Pavilion Model was commissioned by the Museum of Modern Art in New York City for its permanent collection. They arranged for me to fly to Paris to see the building in person, which was in very good condition and well maintained. I took many photographs and MoMA provided scaled drawings, so I was able to construct a very accurate model. I made this model in 1983 out of plexiglass. The little model car is a 1930’s French automobile, reflecting the era of the original building.
