ARCHITECT

I received my BA in Architecture from Cooper Union in 1967 and my MA in Architecture, Master of City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania in 1969.

My career in architecture spans over 50 years and began in New York City as an Urban Planner at the Department of Housing and Urban Development. I went on to become an Urban Designer at the Department of City Planning, an Assistant Director at the Bureau of Building Design, a Land Use Director for the Office of the Borough President in Staten Island, and a Commissioner at the Board of Standards and Appeals. I was promoted to Vice Chairman a year later in 1997 and retired from public service in 2001.

I continued to work as a residential architect and consulted on matters for obtaining variances and special permits for the next 20 years. I’m now retired from my architectural design practice and am focusing on bringing my inventions to market.

Below are a few examples of my favorite, most comprehensive residential projects. Click on the images to see photos and notes for each project.

Some of my architectural renderings are available as art prints, including my rendering of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater house and the “as-built” drawings I made to aid in my construction of the model for the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
